· Pros: o Great lessons for everyone to
learn from, especially
women
o Reminded me of what is
important
o A great source for talks and lessons
· Cons: o Not really a book for one setting but to be read and pondered over time
· Description: o Written by Marilynne Todd
Linford
o Sister
Linford started writing this book at the request of her Relief Society
President. Each month she would write a ‘lesson’ for the sisters in her
ward. After some years past she decided to print the ‘lessons’ into a
book.
o Contains 43 lessons dealing with a different topic from debt, to
mothering small children, and to being a
grandmother.
o Each
lesson is written with women in mind but many such as debt, priorities and
charity are for all to
read.
o The book is 204 pages long
· Review: I thought this book had a lot of great information in it. It gave me a lot to think about. I put as a con that it really isn’t a book to read at once, I would have liked to pick a topic and read and pondered it over a period of time. This is a book to pull off the shelf many times over the years as you face different challenges in life. Sister Linford did a great job of teaching through this book.
