All that was Promised by Vickie Hall.   This was a book that I could not put down. The author made the characters come to live and they became real people to me.  The trails of the early Saints was protrayed very well.  I also really enjoyed how the author showed how trusting in the Lord dosn't always make the problems go away but helps us handle those problems much better.  This is a book I would highly recommend.  Read complete Review

Blank Slate by Heather Justesen:  This is a book that I enjoyed reading.  It was one that when I started reading it I was concerned because it seemed very perdictable.  I felt at first that the author had given the story away but she had a way of writing and was able to keep the story going that of the several books I was reading at the same time it is the one that was my first choice.  I was concerned as the turning point of the book happened that the consequences of the circumstances would be glossed over and again the author came through and touched the consequences and wrote a great book.  I recommend this book. Sleight of Hand by Deanne Blackhurst:  This book takes a different look at the afterlife.  I thought it was an interesting book to read and made me think about justice and how our choices affect other people.  There were parts of the book that were hard to read as the main character had to face how his choices affected other people.  It was written in a way that I could feel the sorrow that took place. There were a few words in the book that made me uncomfortable but overall I would recommend this book as it gives a good feel for justice and mercy.  Read full review here
